The terrace

Restaurant with a terrace and sea views in Calafell

Akquaaa has a two-part terrace right on the seafront, on the Calafell promenade, where you eat lunch and dinner with the view in front of you. The full menu —rice dishes, coastal fish, grilled meats and tapas— is served on the terrace too. With private parking for customers.

A two-part terrace, right on the front

The Akquaaa terrace is on the seafront promenade, with nothing between the tables and the sea. It is not a terrace with partial views or «two minutes from the beach»: the sea is right there.

There are two distinct areas, and they are not the same.

The upper area, above the promenade

More sheltered, with an open view across the whole bay. This is the one for long dinners and the one that works best in the wind. The one to ask for if you are coming for dinner in September.

The lower area, closer to the sea

At promenade level, with the sea closer and the sound of the shore. This is the one for summer lunches and the one that fills up first in August.

Choosing an area when you book

When booking you can say which area you prefer. In high season we cannot always guarantee it, but we try.

What time to book, depending on what you are after

  • Lunch, 13:30–14:00. Full sun and a bright sea. This is rice hour.
  • Late lunch, 15:00. The terrace starts to empty and the afternoon stretches out unhurried. A good time if you are coming with children.
  • Early dinner, 20:00–20:30. Sunset. This is the most requested table and the first to go: book several days ahead in July and August.
  • Dinner, 21:30 onwards. The promenade lit up and the sea gone black. The quiet option.

What you eat on the terrace

When the terrace opens

The terrace season starts on the Saturday before Easter and runs until 31 October. As Easter moves each year, the exact opening date moves with it.

Within the season the terrace runs for both lunch and dinner. Outside that period, the indoor dining room stays open with the same windows onto the sea.

The other Akquaaa spaces

As well as the terrace we have the indoor dining room, refurbished and with windows onto the sea, the beach bar out on the sand itself and private parking for customers.
